So what's Karim Garcia been up to?

I know if you're like me, then you can't stop wondering what happened to former Yankees utilityman Karim Garcia. Yes, that Karim Garcia, the one involved in the infamous 2003 ALCS Yanks/Sox groundskeeper scuffle. I had naturally assumed he was murdered by the Red Sox faithful after that evening.

Well, he's actually still alive, and he's about where you'd expect him to be: winning All-Star home run derbies in the Mexican League. Just like Tom Berenger.

Mop Up Duty managed to track down pictures of Garcia gettin' his home run freak on. Garcia apparently bested one time Yankees third base prospect Donny Leon who I've never heard of before heading into the finals.

In the finals he tied some guy named Carlos Rivera, which resulted in a Mexican standoff. Actually Garcia won because of a tiebreaker giving the crown to the person who hit the longest home run - and who could drink the most tequila.
