I'm responsible for that headline, guys. I was Editor in Chief at the time. We used the term 'Lady Jacks' for the women's teams so much that nobody on our staff, even the faculty advisor, noticed it. That is, until it ended up on The Tonight Show's headlines segment.

ReplyDeleteUSC's newspaper used to have a traditional headline whenever their PAC foes from Oregon wandered down for a football or basketball game: "Beavers to test Trojans." Someone told me the paper has been infested with better taste these days.
