The Man can't tell me what to drink

How do you celebrate winning the Pepsi 400? By drinking the event's main rival and having the picture appear prominently on the World Wide Leader.

This Saturday Jamie McMurray won the Pepsi 400 at Daytona in the closest finish in NASCAR history - and then promptly stuck it to Pepsi by celebrating his win with a Coke. Give 'em hell Jamie.

I especially like how in this picture below he seems to go out of his way to make the Coke symbol clearly visible for the cameraman.

Mmmmmmm, tastes like sponsorship money.

I don't think Pepsi is too pleased about this. But whatever, their drink sucks.

  1. The only thing better would have been McMurray chugging an RC Cola.

  4. A couple years ago, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson--sponsored by Pepsi--won races and had to drive their cars into Victory Lane--sponsored by Powerade (a Coke product). The officials would set these big inflateable Powerade bottles on their cars. Gordon made a big deal of knocking them off one time. Johnson put a big Lowe's sign in front once. And, the best, I think, is when Gordon won and refused to drive to Victory Lane--he just parked his car on the track, and his team ran out to celebrate there.
