This guy here is Noah Lowry, and if you're not a Giants fan or from the Bay Area, you've probably never heard of him. But Mr. Lowry currently finds himself in the same position as Dice-K, in that he has a 1-2 record despite a spiffy 2.70 ERA. I first began enjoying watching Lowry pitch a few years back, when he would throw a changeup off of a changeup. He's like a 26-year-old version of Jamie Moyer or a poor man's Tom Glavine. Lowry will sometimes throw a changeup that would give Tim Wakefield's knuckleball a run for it's money. The fact that a guy can abuse major league hitters while throwing well below 90-mph is a thing of beauty. Now if only the Giants could hit when he pitches, like they did when they crushed the Cardinals today.-WCK
