This video has been popping up all day, with claims from such esteemed individuals as Bill Simmons that the fix was on for the Knicks in the 1985 draft to land Patrick Ewing. Simmons makes a strong argument by stating that the accountant from Ernst & Whinney deliberately bumps the Knicks envelope against the glass drum so Stern will know to pick it out after the shuffling. You can see the envelope hit the glass drum at about the 5:05 mark. However, it seems to me that any of the envelopes could have gotten dented during the shuffling, but whatever. We all like conspiracy theories, and this is one of the biggest ones in sports history. Make your own decision.
