A chance to destroy the Fox NFL robot

All of us are familiar with the annoying Fox NFL Robot. He usually comes out of the left corner of your screen to do some calisthenics during a critical drive. Why a robot has to stretch out is beyond me, but whatever.

Despite the intense animosity on the Web directed at the robot, Fox actually has plans to release an NFL Robot doll action figure in November. Yes, you read that right. Let's give you the details.
This 10 inch posable PVC plastic action figure features the highest quality and greatest attention to detail available in an action figure. The FOX NFL Robot utilizes its fully articulating joints to evade defenders and score touchdowns. A must-have piece for every sport fanatic's collection.
It can evade defenders? I guess my Lego men are going to have a hard time taking this robot down.

The robot costs $19.95, suggesting it might not actually be made of the highest quality and that it's probably a foolish buy. But still, paying $20 bucks to watch this thing melt in the microwave would probably be $20 well spent.

The Terminator takes up baseball

If you're like me, then you're constantly wondering when super-cyborgs will replace regular human athletes in professional sports. And of course we're all wondering how long it'll take before those cyborgs start indiscriminentely killing humans.

While neither of those two scenarios has arrived yet, we're getting closer. Above, and in the video below, is the Batting Machine Robot. Even though the machine currently hits the ball less hard than an emaciated Juan Pierre, we advise not getting too close to this thing while it's taking its hacks.

Of course, there are still some kinks to work out, namely that the robot can't hit sliders, or for that matter run, but the future looks bright. The Royals already signed the robot to a 3-year contract.

I have a strange feeling though that these things will soon be roaming the streets beating humans senseless. That'd certainly make my day a lot more exciting.

By the way, if you want to see what it's like having cyborgs shoot baseballs at you from a cannon in their chest, click here.
