Come fly with me

Ah Japanese game shows. You never disappoint me. This remarkable show has one simple goal. See how far you can fly when you have about 20 pressurized water bottles put on your back. Sure, mock it now, but some day we'll be all be flying to the moon this way.

Fake.

Mythbusters did this one, and it doesn't work.

Mythbusters didn't mange to do it. Big difference bro.

fake

This has nothing on Ninja Warrior. Period.

Mythbusters totally fucked this up, it's probably not fake

Completely fake. You can see him spin along a central axis in the latter angles which would be the wire. If the bottles were proving the sole thrust and lift he would be doing large loops not spinning. Just because Mythbusters gave up too easy doesn't make this real.

And it's Chinese, not japanese.

anything with a center of mass will spin on that axis. and everything with matter, like this dude with bottles strapped to his back, has a center of mass. not saying it's not fake, just saying you need a better argument. and i would never cite mythbusters as a credible source. they're only good to watch shit get blown up.

When Mythbusters tested this they did not pressurize the bottles with an air pump. There is a huge difference in pressure you can obtain by shaking a soda bottle compared to using an air pump. Also because he spun on one axis instead of another has NOTHING to do with there being a wire. I am not saying its definitely real, but it is definitely possible.

Far from possible. There is a cable swinging him in the arc. The bottles would expell their thrust without even knocking him over let alone lifting him 100ft. BOGUS in any language.

Jeez you'd believe anything.

Totally fake. Compare the distance and height he gets with the speed with which he's travelling. The physics don't work unless he's suspended and swung from a cable.

I think we can all agree this blows.

It is definitely Japanese, and not Chinese like someone else said.

It's definitely Japanese. His counting should have made it the more obvious.

In the later stages of WWII, when the Japanese air force was strapped for aircraft, this was the approved method for training Kamikaze fliers.

The trainee had several large glass seltzer bottles strapped to is back (remember, plastics were not in an abundant supply), and would have to aim his "flight path" towards a papier mache boat floating on a small lake or pond. Striking the boat meant successful completion of the program.

First, yes mythbusters did use an air pump. Second, it doesnt matter howw fast he is going as long as there is a constant force coming from the bottles. This one is real, mythbusters just fucked this one up. They couldnt get the bottles released at the same time and then they just gave up.

I agree with annonymous. This is a fantastic show and a great entertainment.
