I know we've all seriously considered this before. There's a giant unmanned beer truck in the parking lot - let's steal it. But of course we never do.
Well it turns out someone finally had the balls to do it. Last week the AAA New Orleans Zephyrs (Mets) had some people sneak onto the stadium grounds and steal a Coors Light truck that contained 51 kegs of beer. That's just over $3,000 worth of beer in case you're wondering. For some random reason, they also stole $10,000 worth of groundskeeping equipment. I guess they new exactly what they wanted because they didn't even try to break into the team's offices.
The beer truck and equipment was recovered later in the day. However, only 38 kegs were still in the truck.
Although I'm disappointed all the kegs weren't gone, putting away 13 of them in what was less than 12 hours is still mighty impressive.
