Soccer. A sport with intensely loyal fans that will do quite literally anything to get even with the players they despise. Today's soccer revenge comes courtesy of Ebay, where someone decided to put former Tottenham Hotspur player Hossam Ghaly up for bidding.
Ghaly wasn't well liked while playing with Tottenham, and was set to be transferred to Birmingham, but things didn't go so well with that. He showed up a bit out of shape and had been with the club only four days, with his £3 million move from Tottenham still not finally sealed, and complained repeatedly about the training exercises he was being asked to do. On August 3rd, Birmingham announced they would not be completing the deal due to Ghaly's laziness, as well as his badmouthing of Birmingham's players.
Ghaly is currently going for £10,000,000. That seems a bit high even though he's listed as "hardly ever used."
Hey, this is fairly mild treatment compared to having a fan kill you.
