This game may have saved this entire NBA season. After Phoenix was pushed around and looked like they had no chance to win, they dug incredibly deep and made some huge plays down the stretch and made some huge defensive stops to pull away in this one and win 104-98. That 16-3 run at the end by Phoenix, plus their defense, was something we've almost never seen from the Suns in the playoffs. You have the feeling that this was the breakthrough moment for the Suns that we've all been waiting for.
Of course, now we have a serious problem. Amare and Diaw left the bench after Horry's horrible cheap shot on Nash. The NBA rules say they have to be suspended. But as Barkley pointed out after the game, it would be brutal and totally unfair for the Suns to lose two key players because of a total cheap shot by Horry (who should be suspended). The purpose of the rule was to prevent bench players from going out onto the court and throwing punches. That didn't happen, so don't suspend them.
However, if they do get suspended for Game 5, then Horry is a complete genius. But if that happens, he better never set foot in Phoenix again. Because if he does, he's never going to make it out of that city alive.
