Where can I get a beer?

We pretty much saw the same thing out of the Warriors tonight as we did in Game 4. Questionable jump shots with not enough of them going down. It's clear that the Warriors simply ran out of gas in this series and just couldn't keep the pedal down. The Mavs series combined with Games 1 and 2 in Utah pretty much wiped this team out. They were able to bounce back in Game 3, but it was unfortunately just a flash in the pan. The 8-man rotation finally killed them in these last two games. Also the fact that not one over-the-back foul call was made during the entire series kind of hurt us as well.

The unfortunate thing is that this series could have been a lot closer had The City not blown Game 2, but you have to give Utah credit for pulling that game out of their ass. It was also hilarious to see Derek Fisher go off in this series, shooting 45% from 3-point land when he only shot 31% during the regular season. I believe TNT has officially annointed him a saint by now. We expected him to shine in this series, primarily because former Golden State players who sucked when they were with The City always come back to haunt us (and Fisher SUCKED with us; they were going to make him a backup which is why he left for Utah).

The game was also a mess as well. Both teams repeatedly got the shaft with calls. My favorite was Carlos Raging Steroid Freak Boozer barreling over Stephen Jackson, and the refs calling the foul on Jackson. I don't think S-Jax was flopping there, refs. But it went both ways. There were plenty of sketchy defensive plays the Warriors made that weren't called either. Yet at the same time, horrible touch fouls were called on both teams. The officiating completely messed up an otherwise reasonably exciting, though not very high scoring, game. It was also fortunate that Stephen Jackson didn't kill anyone. He was actually foaming at the mouth at the end of the third quarter. You sure can't match that guy's intensity though.

As for the Jazz. They're an impressive team when Deron Williams is going well. But Boozer won't find the next series nearly as easy going up against either Duncan or Stoudemire. He better start hitting the roids preparing now.

For us Warriors fans, it was still a great season. No one even thought we'd make the playoffs. And not only did we make the playoffs, but we knocked out the #1 seed. What made it even more worthwhile was seeing Cuban cry today at Nowitzki's MVP ceremony. That was pretty classic. And The City provided everyone with that moment.

Well, the Warriors had their moment and now their time has passed. It'll be interesting to see if Golden State can continue this momentum into next season. We'll be waiting......
