Promoting violence against Chad Johnson

I can't be the only one who thought Chad Johnson jumping into the Dawg Pound on Sunday was somewhat risky. But in all honesty, it's not like any of us thought he wouldn't make it back onto the field. The Browns fans may be psychotic, but they're not homicidal.

Well I thought so. It seems one popular Cleveland radio show host - Mike Trivisonno, known as Mr. Know-It-All - at WTAM 1100, was irate that all the fans in the Dawg Pound did was throw beer and popcorn at Johnson.

".. never in my wildest imagination, and I blame all these punky ass, wimpy ass sissy kids today, and younger people. Never in my wildest imagination could an opposing player jump into the Dawg Pound and come out of there. If a fan goes on the field and a player whacks him, then when a player comes into the stands, the fan should be able to whack the player and the cops should arrest the player."

Trivisonno is well known for being a total jackass, and also repeatedly using the word "dago" during broadcasts. So in other words, it's hardly surprising that he'd say something like this. But considering the blowback that resulted from melees like the Pistons/Pacers brawl, it just seems surprising that a major radio host would actively look to promote violence - all while bashing his audience in the process. But hey, this is Cleveland. If you're going to be known for anything, it might as well be killing opposing teams' wide receivers. I mean it's not like you'll ever be known for anything else.
