Looks like you're busted LJ.
It's well known that Larry Johnson didn't exactly see eye to eye with the Chiefs during his recent contract negotiations - specifically with GM Carl Peterson. But now it appears he may have written a rap song about it.
Via the MySpace page of rap group called S.B.L., Larry Johnson allegedly unloads on the Chiefs, Priest Holmes, and Peterson. You can listen to it here (NSFW), and the following are some of the choicest lyrics.
Can I come back? Can I come back? And if ya’ll don’t pay my money I ain’t never comin’ back. So f*ck dat.
They say should I be scared cuz Pri-Ho (presumably Priest Holmes) coming back, he embarrassing himself. So I’m a say it, I’m a leave it like that. Cuz I’m the n____ runnin this mutherf*cker here.
F*ck Carl Peterson, the GM is running it. They see me. They want to treat me like I'm running it. I wouldn't give a f*ck if I'm not coming back. I'd rather play for another team because I'd rather be a running back.
LJ also spends an awful lot of time talking about loading up his guns, which means he's either full of shit or he's got a munitions stockpile worthy of the great Tank Johnson.
Of course LJ is denying this, but most people aren't believing it - primarily because the rapper sounds an awful lot like him, and there are pictures of him on the web site.
Here's one question a reporter asked him:
Reporter: "Is it possible that's your voice and someone just later put music under it? Everyone says, that sounds like Larry Johnson."
Johnson: "Beats me, I mean with technology today, I think you could do anything."
The MySpace page says the song is a remix, but that it's indeed LJ. Also not helping LJ is the fact that the group also supposedly has former Raiders fullback Joe Hall on a track that's on the site. Hall's song is the lyrically eloquent "Hey Bitch."
The odds are pretty good this is LJ, which leads me to one conclusion. It's going to be a long season in Kansas City. But then again, I think we all knew that anyway.
